Three plates declared done. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon checkout went without problems. Patchy cirrus and wind out of the east at sunset. We will start with spectroscopy, because of moonlight. Plate 722 is only 5 deg from the Moon, so we will not be able to finish it. Plate 736 showed the same problem as last night ... too much sky from the Moon. We put this down to an ''other weather'' problem. Since we had no plates far enough away from the Moon until 22:30 we stayed on ''other weather'' until that time. 22:30 - We moved on to plate 694. Although sky values were still high, we managed to get (S/N)^2 > 2, and with exposures from previous nights, were able to declare it done. 00:23 - Started plate 696. We were able to declare it done. 02:00 - Started plate 703. This one was also declared done, despite an axis abort event from the familiar timeout problem (see problems section). As we were finishing this plate, the sky became clear, but seeing was ranging between 1.6 and 2 asec. Because of this, and the limited time left, we chose to not mount the imager. 04:25 - We got more spectro focus data for Pete to analyze. This is listed as a shakeup task. EndNight rejoiced. Flat field petal 6 sensor stuck again (problems section). We saw the zodical light. ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Stripe Flavor Lambda Last Begin End Frame Comments ------------------------------------------------------------------ 2680 100 O ignore 73.32 100.10 46 ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 ----- sequence 11564, plate 736 ------- 9.2 15.4 2.2 - 00:52 11564 10.0 flat 00:54 11565 2.0 arc 01:39 11566 900.0 target 02:02 11567 1202.0 target 02:25 11568 1200.0 target 02:47 11569 1200.0 target 03:13 11570 1202.0 target 03:36 11571 1201.0 target 04:09 11572 10.0 flat 04:11 11573 2.0 arc ----- sequence 11574, plate 694 ------- 7.3 10.4 7.7 15.0 04:25 11574 10.0 flat 04:27 11575 2.0 arc 05:00 11576 1201.0 target 05:22 11577 1201.0 target 05:45 11578 1200.0 target 06:06 11579 903.0 target 06:12 11580 240.0 smear ----- sequence 11581, plate 696 ------- 5.8 4.8 6.8 11.7 06:23 11581 10.0 flat 06:25 11582 2.0 arc 06:55 11583 1201.0 target 07:18 11584 1200.0 target 07:41 11585 1201.0 target 07:47 11586 240.0 smear 07:50 11587 10.0 flat 07:52 11588 2.0 arc ----- sequence 11589, plate 703 ------- 17.3 14.3 19.0 13.2 08:02 11589 10.0 flat 08:04 11590 2.0 arc 08:32 11591 1201.0 target 08:55 11592 1200.0 target 09:24 11593 1201.0 target 09:30 11594 240.0 smear NO GOOD - ROT AXIS HALTED 09:50 11595 240.0 smear 09:55 11596 10.0 flat 09:57 11597 2.0 arc ----- sequence 11598, plate 547 ------- Focus tests 10:25 11598 10.0 flat ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument getclock Az Alt Rot Scale ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 19:25 2 736 1004145929 0.001202 -0.001048 -0.007614 0.999750 21:05 2 736 1004151941 0.001202 -0.001048 -0.007614 0.999690 22:42 5 694 1004157757 0.001098 -0.002526 -0.020734 0.999940 00:42 7 696 1004164948 0.001916 -0.001775 -0.029151 0.999920 02:30 6 703 1004171414 0.002513 -0.000107 -0.007440 0.999900 ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== DATA TAPE SUMMARY ===--- Goes: JL4577 Stays: JL4578 ---=== FOCUS LOG ===--- setmir piston Temp Wind Time Inst scale M1 M2 Foc Az Alt (C) MPH Dir filt fwhm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 19:25 2 736 0.99975 2468 3343 150 52 61.1 6.9 17 77 2.2 20:09 2 736 0.99975 2468 3330 150 32 67.3 6.2 15 80 1.9 21:05 2 736 0.99969 3060 3760 95 -6 70.1 6.7 13 89 1.6 22:42 5 694 0.99994 591 1676 15 29 53.5 5.2 16 80 2.0 23:46 5 694 0.99994 591 1645 -5 1 57.2 5.3 10 89 1.6 00:41 7 696 0.99992 789 1777 -40 -17 56.1 5.7 7 87 >3 01:19 7 696 0.99992 789 1786 -40 -32 52.7 9.2 2 188 1.9 02:29 6 703 0.99990 986 1946 -50 -39 50.5 9.3 4 183 1.6 03:02 6 703 0.99990 986 1962 -50 -49 45.8 9.5 5 185 1.8 ---=== WEATHER LOG ===--- Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky 17:13 57 22 12 185 (S) 695 - pcl 17:46 54 22 10 220 (SW) 860 - pcl 18:18 49 21 14 79 (E) 1048 - pcl 18:48 46 21 13 74 (ENE) 1031 - pcl 19:19 44 24 16 76 (ENE) 955 - pcl 19:49 43 24 11 88 (E) 878 - pcl 20:23 43 25 12 83 (E) 850 - pcl 20:55 43 24 16 76 (ENE) 830 - pcl 21:26 43 22 15 77 (ENE) 704 - pcl 21:59 42 23 15 79 (E) 765 - pcl 22:32 41 26 18 73 (ENE) 843 - pcl 23:04 41 29 14 79 (E) 832 - pcl 23:35 41 30 12 80 (E) 814 - pcl 00:09 41 30 10 80 (E) 875 - pcl 00:41 41 28 6 86 (E) 781 - pcl 01:12 48 22 1 198 (SSW) 720 - pcl 01:45 48 23 4 197 (SSW) 779 - pcl 02:17 48 22 3 180 (S) 753 - pcl 02:50 49 24 5 180 (S) 739 - 03:20 48 25 5 193 (SSW) 754 - pcl 03:50 48 24 5 186 (S) 732 - pcl 04:20 48 26 4 184 (S) 753 - clr 04:50 47 24 8 190 (S) 723 - clr 05:23 46 23 8 168 (SSE) 805 - clr ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- 17:20 - Blowers on, doors cracked open. 18:10 - Opened 05:35 - Closed.
